| 14/08/2010 | Big Southern Gathering (BSG) 2010 - Shuttleworth, Bedfordshire | Who says it all happens ‘oop north’? A new addition to the calendar is the BSG, which will be held at Shuttleworth, Bedfordshire. The guys have lots planned for you to see and do (weather permitting of course!), to include: a flying display of World famous Ewardian aircraft,an evening battle of britain flying display,\bloodhound SSC, Talk from Richard Noble OBE on Land Speed Record,Shuttleworth collection and museum, Swiss gardens,Bird of prey centre,Evening party with live entertainment,Trade stands, Photo opportunities, TVR auto jumble, Auction,Tvr Quiz,Ride Drive experiences, Rolling Road & drives out. There is camping available and hotels nearby. Sunday breakfast in the on site restaurant. The event runs from 13/8 to 15/8. A weekend ticket is £20, or £25 to include the talk by Richard Noble. | 17/07/2010 | Cholmondeley Pageant Of Power | This is a great annual event that takes place at Cholmondeley Castle.On track will be all manner of historic racing cars and bikes, together with Power Boat racing on the lake, and airobatic displays. On the saturday evening there is a concert and fireworks. If you want to put your car in the TVR area, then Paul Wilson, RO for Cheshire, needs to be notified by 28th July. Several of us will be travelling up on the Friday, and camping the 2 days, and others are making their way up on the Saturday morning. | 28/03/2010 | 10:30am | Back to Basics Run | Want to try and get out and use my car more this year. So anyone up for a drive out Sunday 28th March 2010 weather prevailing. In the event it is lashing down it will be off, or likely hood of bad weather I will post a message here about 9am Sunday 28th March. At present I have no fixed ideas other than to leave Sarn Services M4 at 10.30am take in some tidy roads, scenery and stop for food (your own grub if good weather). If you are interested in coming along perhaps you can drop me a line stating if from East or West of Sarn, and perhaps I can build in a second meeting point dependant on interest. This is all about going out for a drive to enjoy the experience of why we have ended up with these vehicles. Some years ago we used to get a wide range of models coming along. It would be nice to see many of you again, so how about going back to basics and just going for a good old fashioned drive out as a group. |
